CvA travel is live!!

After days, weeks and months of hard work, the moment has arrived: CvA travel is live.
And I, Claudia – founder and owner of CvA travel – couldn’t be prouder. Not just of what we’ve built, but of what we’re able to offer you as a fellow adventurer.
From the very first seed of an idea, I knew these wouldn’t be just any cycling journeys.
I felt in every fibre of my being that they needed to be different. More meaningful. More personal.
The Mission of CvA travel
CvA travel was born from personal experience, personal travels, and a personal mission: that everyone should be able to enjoy the freedom and wonder of a cycling holiday.
But our mission doesn’t end with the traveller. It also extends to the countries we visit – to giving something back.
To communities.
To projects.
To local people.
I truly believe we’re succeeding in that. One of our best examples? Lawrence.
Working with Lawrence and the Community
Lawrence is a mountain bike guide in Uganda and Rwanda. We met him during a research trip to Uganda, and from the very first moment, there was a spark. Lawrence showed us his country, shared his passion, and infected us – in the best possible way – with the spirit of Uganda. He led us to the most beautiful places, and it was instantly clear: we want to work with him. Not just because of his boundless energy, but because we share a vision – a mission to create opportunities.
For Lawrence.
For his team.
For his community.
For his country.
Bringing Lawrence to the Netherlands
We asked ourselves: How can we create even more impact – beyond organising journeys?
The answer came quickly: we bring Lawrence to the Netherlands. Here, he’s now completing a hands-on training programme in mountain bike and e-MTB maintenance at CC 53-11 in Zaltbommel. With this knowledge, he’ll return to Uganda to train his own team – knowledge that is currently in short supply. And Lawrence is thriving. Every weekday, he cycles one hour each way to and from Zaltbommel. He’s also studying online with Shimano, the renowned Japanese cycling brand. He wakes up with a smile and goes to bed with one. And while we navigate the cultural differences, we continue to enjoy his joy – and we can’t wait for you, our travellers, to experience the Ugandan spirit with us.
Investing in Bikes in Uganda
We’re also investing in bikes for all our journeys in Uganda. Because good bikes are hard to come by locally. In collaboration with CC 53-11, we’ve put together a high-quality fleet – from solid entry-level MTBs and e-MTBs to top-of-the-range S-Works models. This is a true collaboration between CvA travel and Uganda.
Beyond Uganda and Rwanda
Of course, our offering doesn’t stop at Uganda and Rwanda. We have many more journeys waiting for you – each one crafted with the same care and spirit of adventure. Explore our full collection below. Each one is a gem.
And There’s More…
The website is live. Bookings are open. But we’re far from done. We have plans – many of them. Not only for new destinations and new journeys, but also to expand our impact. We’re joining forces with partners in training, marketing, education and knowledge exchange. Those details are still under wraps for now – but as soon as there’s more to share, you’ll be the first to know.
In the meantime, follow us on Instagram for regular updates from behind the scenes at CvA travel.
