The Tour of Karamoja is a celebrated cycling tradition that winds its way through the untouched landscapes of Uganda’s northeast. Its mission is to shine a positive light on this remote region, promote sustainable tourism, and offer young women from the Matany Girls Vocational School the opportunity to continue their education.

By taking part in this event, you’re doing far more than riding a route — you’re making a meaningful and lasting contribution to the local community. Following the ‘Warrior Nomad Trail’, you’ll experience the raw beauty of Uganda in its purest form: across vast savannahs, cycling amidst wildlife, through forested areas, rolling hills, and culminating in the breathtaking Kidepo Valley National Park. The Tour of Karamoja spans 709 kilometres, climbs 5,270 metres in elevation, and unfolds over 8 unforgettable stages — a truly exhilarating adventure.
