Group trip in Uganda: actively experiencing the country together

Group trips in Uganda are ideal if you want to share the adventure, but also value good guidance and structure. Together you cycle through varied landscapes: from green hills and savannahs to national parks and remote villages. Travelling in a group offers a major advantage here: you get to know the country with like-minded travellers, while local guides and support ensure safety and flexibility along the way. Because we travel in small groups, there is room to adapt the pace to different levels. This way, you combine the power of travelling together in Uganda with personal attention and an intensive experience of the country.

Wildlife and culture go well together in Uganda

One of the most beautiful aspects of a group trip is sharing special moments. In Uganda, there are plenty of those moments. Think of spotting a tree-climbing lion together in Queen Elizabeth National Park or cycling among the zebras in Lake Mburo. The excitement that goes through the group when someone shouts: “Look there, elephants!”, is priceless.

The cultural encounters are also valuable. We regularly stop in villages, visit markets, or small schools. Because the guide speaks the language and the group is small, contact with the local population is approachable and genuine. You learn from each other’s questions and observations, which deepens the experience.

Safety and professional guidance during the group trip in Uganda

Safety is an important theme on a group trip in Africa. Because we cycle in areas where wild animals also live, we leave nothing to chance. Our groups are always accompanied by experienced local guides. In the national parks, armed rangers join them. They know the animals’ behaviour and ensure we always keep a safe distance, whilst still being able to enjoy the wildlife.

There is also support on a technical level. Nothing is more annoying than a mechanical breakdown ruining your trip. Our guides have knowledge of ‘mechanics’ and can solve most problems on the road. Our head guide was even specially trained for this in the Netherlands. If a bike really cannot be fixed, a spare bike is available in the support vehicle. This way, the group never comes to a standstill.

Why choose a group trip in Uganda?

There is something special about experiencing an adventure together. During a group trip in Uganda, you are never on your own. You share the effort of a climb, but also the euphoria of a beautiful descent or spotting your first elephant. The social aspect is a huge added value. Panting together, laughing together at the bumps in the road, and exchanging the day’s stories and photos around the table in the evening creates a bond. You often make friends for life because you experience something unique together.

In addition, a group trip offers a lot of convenience. All the organising is taken off your hands. You don’t have to worry about the route, transporting your luggage, or safety in the parks. Everything is taken care of down to the last detail, so you can fully focus on cycling and enjoying yourself. Our local guides take you to places you wouldn’t easily find as an individual traveller, because they aren’t on Google Maps.
